Pippin pops into town

The Gainesville High School theater department is producing the musical “Pippin” at the school next week. A performance troupe will descend on the Gainesville High School stage to recount the tale of a young prince named “Pippin.”

Based on a book by Roger O. Hirson, “Pippin” is the story of a young man searching for meaning and significance. He explores all avenues to an extraordinary existence only to find the most modest of choices makes him happy.

“Pippin” showtimes will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8-10 at Gainesville High School, 830 Century Place, Gainesville.

Tickets are $5 for senior citizens ages 65 and older, $5 for students and $8 for adults. Only cash and checks are accepted.

For tickets, email ghstheatre@bellsouth.net with the number of tickets, the first and last name to hold the tickets under and the date and day of the performance. Allow for up to 24 hours for an email confirmation.

Tickets may be picked up the night of the show. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
