Picking a six-string on the back porch was entertainment of days gone by.

Now the same activity is reappearing in Clermont.

The Pickin’ in the Park will be from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Chattahoochee Park, 639 Main St., in Clermont.

Featured musicians will be Jaxn Rogers, Cody and Carlee Savage and The Backwoods Band. An open jam session will be from 9-10 p.m.

Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic, lawn chairs, instruments and friends for a music-filled night.

The event is free but boiled peanuts will be available for $3.
