The Circle Ensemble Theatre Company performs Mary Zimmerman's award-winning "Metamorphoses" in and around the pool at Ashford Manor at 8:30 p.m. July 21-23.

Based on Ovid's transformation myths, the critically acclaimed play subtly mixes the beautiful ancient stories with contemporary language and lots of humor.

Director and Broadway veteran Mirla Criste has created a mesmerizing, beautiful and often hilarious production, complete with original music written just for Circle Ensemble's production that will resonate with modern viewers.

The themes of true and lasting love, the inevitability of change, and the human ability to adapt to change are timeless.

Members of the cast include veteran ensemble members Lisa Mende, Kathleen Hogan, Dustin Drake, Lynn Halverson, Jeff Marshall, Justin Miskin, Erina Francesconi, Jeff Marker, Anita Blaschak, Victoria Costilla and Joelle Arp-Dunham, as well as a whole group of fresh faces to add to the fun.

The Circle Ensemble Theatre Company is a nonprofit, professional theater company under the umbrella of the Athens Area Arts Council.
