Goods from more than 80 merchants from six states will pack the Gainesville Civic Center to help local residents check off their holiday shopping lists. The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Auxiliary will host its 23rd annual holiday shopping event, Marketplace, on Nov. 6-8 in Gainesville. “(Marketplace) is really a neat way to begin Christmas shopping, but it’s also a fun time to purchase for yourself,” said Lynne Allen, director of volunteer services at the Medical Center Auxiliary. “But it’s a neat way to shop for Christmas and benefit a great cause at the same time.”
