This weekend, the romance and laughter continues on stage with the Broadway hit "Guys and Dolls" at the Historic Holly Theatre in downtown Dahlonega. Get swept away to New York City for a love story gone awry when a nightclub performer loses passion for her hustler fiancé and a high-rolling gambler falls for a holy-rolling "mission doll." A cast of oddball characters, including a frustrated police lieutenant and a band of soul savers, help bring to life this classic comedy by Damon Runyon. The musical score by Frank Loesser keeps you stepping lively and features several hits made popular by the crooners of the day like "Luck Be a Lady" and "If I Were a Bell." The performances start at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. The show will continue June 17-19. Tickets are $15 and can purchased by calling the theater at 706-864-3759, or at www.hollytheater.com.
