Fill your stomachs with food and feast your ears on music at the Chili Cook Off and Concert in Dahlonega.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, April 1, at 1538 Wesley Chapel Road in Dahlonega. Tickets are $20 per person online or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at TLCHS.org

Chili cook-off participants must bring a large crock pot or pot with a heat source underneath it for tasting.

The cook-off and concert will benefit the TLC Humane Society of Lumpkin County, which is a no-kill shelter. Performing at the event will be the Gopher Broke Band. A silent auction will also be on site.

Kathleen Krueger said a member of the band, who owns the Funky Chicken Art Project, wanted to develop an event to help nonprofits in the area.
