North Georgians dreaming of becoming artists or beginners wanting to create a one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one for Christmas have the chance to learn from the best.

Luciano Georgescu will teach students how to develop classic drawing and design techniques this holiday season. He will show participants the best way to hold a pencil to the secret of creating convincing perspective. Every class is a basic learning experience.

Classes cost $20 for a drop-in class, but prepaid registration guarantees a space in the class.

The class will meet on Tuesday mornings and nights on Nov. 26 and Dec. 3. Classes are from 9 a.m. to noon or 6-9 p.m. at Helen Arts & Heritage Center, 25 Chattahoochee Strasse, Helen. Parking is available behind the arts center.
