Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Holly Theater to see Dorothy and her friends journey to Emerald City.

More than 40 students are participating in the senior performance camp to produce "The Wizard of Oz" at the theater in downtown Dahlonega. The cast features several talented North Georgia children ranging in ages from 10-18.

The timeless tale follows young Dorothy and her furry friend, Toto, as they are whisked away from familiar faces in Kansas to strange surroundings in the land of Oz.

Lions, tigers and bears oh my! Many surprises are in store for Dorothy along the way as she befriends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion.

But there’s much more in store. Dorothy and her companions must fend off the Wicked Witch of the West and her host of malicious flying monkeys as they make their way to the Emerald City.

The production will be presented on June 13-14 and 19-21 at 69 W. Main St. in Dahlonega.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for children and students.
