Independence of the American colonies from England came in fits and starts for Georgia from 1775 and 1783. The Revolutionary experience in Georgia and the Southern back-country was far different than the traditional American narrative. The Northeast Georgia History Center plans to explore those constantly changing fortunes and the division that occurred among its people during its monthly Family Day.
