History Center forum to focus on Victory in Europe Day

As Friday, May 8, marks the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, the Northeast Georgia History Center plans to focus on the events of the day and its aftermath with a forum Tuesday, May 12. History Center Executive Director Glen Kyle will speak about the military events leading up to VE Day, when the Allies achieved the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany to end World War II in Europe. Ric Kabat, associate dean of the College of the Arts and Letters at the University of North Georgia, will talk of the legacy of those fateful days.
