Helen Arts & Heritage Center holds art class for veterans, spouses

Aware of the needs of military veterans and witnessing first-hand the healing effects gained from exposure to art, the Helen Arts & Heritage Center is expanding its art program to include veterans and their significant other. The fall session of the “Art Workshop for Veterans & Spouse” will be from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27 and Nov. 3 and 10. The workshop is offered at no cost to qualified veterans and their spouse, partner or caregiver through a partnership with Help Hospitalize Veterans of Winchester, Calif.
