It’s sheep-shearing time at the North Georgia Zoo and Petting Farm in Cleveland.
Visitors to the zoo may learn about the process of sheep shearing and spinning, and then walk away with free samples of wool. All of this takes places during the Fiber Farm and Art Festival at 2912 Paradise Valley Road in Cleveland.
The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satuday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, and feature interactive farm demonstrations. Visitors will learn how to spin, trim hooves and train.
Vendors will be selling their creations, which range from fiber arts, homesteading, woodworking, pottery, knitting, painting and crafts.
Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 2 to 11. Children younger than 2 may enter for free.

Visit, feed and interact with hundreds of miniature and rare breed farm animals
Get close to other animals such as a giant tortoise, alligator, zebra and a parakeet landing.
