For father’s who deem their little ladies as “Daddy’s girl,” one event needs to be marked on your February calendar.

Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett, the eighth annual Father Daughter Dances will be Feb. 5 and 6 at the Buford Community Center and Theatre. And two dances will accompany each day with the first one from 6–8 p.m. and 9–11 p.m. at 2200 Buford Highway, Buford.

The early evening dance will offer a buffet of light hors d’oeuvres while the later dance will feature assorted desserts. Both will be catered by All About You Weddings & Events.

Fathers, stepfathers, significant father-like figures, grandfathers, uncles, or role models are invited to bring their special ladies out for an evening of dancing and fun. Past attendees have ranged in age from infant to mid-20s from a five-county radius. Attendants are asked to dress in their Sunday best.

Family friendly music will be provided by Scott Smith of Dance Master DJ and promises to satisfy all  musical tastes.

Proceeds from the dance and other Kiwanis Club fundraisers are reinvested back into the community in the form of scholarships for area high school seniors or for other community charitable needs.

Tickets are $60 per couple for the first dance and $50 for the late dance. It costs $10 for each additional person.
