Drawing on country music’s longstanding tradition of the song being king, Drunk on the Wind crafts stripped-down, earthy narratives steeped in a sense of place.
The band will share its life accounts in concert from 8-11:45 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Grant Street Music Room in Clarkesville.
Drunk on the Wind was started by front man Bryant Tench, or bassist Jeff Mann; only God knows what really happened.
The one thing the pair agrees on its beginnings in living rooms, back porches and yards among friends across Clarkesville in the summer of 2014.
David Todd was a regular at these informal picking sessions and was soon enlisted to add leads. The three men began developing their own material.
With the addition of Carter Corn on mandolin and harmonica, and Kevin Rose on drums, the back porch pickin’ blossomed into full blown band.
