The city of Dahlonega doesn’t just celebrate the Christmas season on Dec. 25. Instead the town adorns itself in tinsel and organizes activities all month long in an Old Fashion Christmas. The monthlong celebration begins Nov. 29 with the Lighting of the Square, horse-drawn carriage rides and tours of the historic downtown area.
