The family favorite “Madeline’s Christmas” and David Sedaris’ comedic gem “The Santaland Diaries” will return to Horizon Theatre this holiday season to entertain young and old alike.

While “The Santaland Diaries” turns “ho-ho-ho” into “ha-ha-ha” giving adults-only an antidote to the holiday blues, Madeline’s Christmas is holiday fun for all while 12 girls in two straight lines navigate getting home for the holidays.

Jump starting the Christmas season Nov. 21 will be “The Santaland Diaries.”

This sardonic, satirical and sarcastic play features the merry misanthrope, Crumpet as he recounts the tale of his stint as a Macy’s department store elf. Adapted from David Sedaris’ best-selling book “Holidays on Ice,” this tale is a modern classic, made famous when it aired on National Public Radio.

The Santaland Diaries contains mature language and situations. It is not intended for children. It will run until Dec. 31.
