Once compared to country music star Hank Williams, Emi Sunshine will bring her Americana songs to downtown Dahlonega this week.

Eleven-year-old Emi will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at The Crimson Moon, 24 N. Park St., in Dahlonega.

Emi, a Tennessee native, has been named by the National Traditional Country Music Association 2014 country music’s rising legend.

She started performing in front of crowds when she was 4 years old. By the time she was 10,  Emi was nominated raising country legend, had two CDs and a busy concert schedule.

At age 11, Emi had appeared at many of the largest country venues, including the Grand Ole Opry 11 times. She has even opened for Willie Nelson in Las Vegas, Buck Owens Crystal Palace, Dollywood and many other venues.
