The International Ballet Intensive’s three-week residential summer dance program, under the direction of Danita Emma and Momchil Mladenov, culminates with a public performance by the elite group of young dancers at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, in the Hosch Theatre at the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts on Brenau University’s Gainesville campus. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors at the door. The hourlong program will include a range of pieces touching on different styles such as a newly created ballet to Debussy’s “Piano Nocturne,” modern work set to the music of Astor Piazzolla and a jazz piece set to the music of Leon Parker, to name a few.
