High Museum focuses on art and design
Brenau students are exhibiting a wide range of art for the fifth annual juried student art and design show at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday

Brenau arts and design students will step out of their college campus comfort zone and into the limelight of Atlanta this month.

Students’ work will be showcased during the fifth annual Juried Art and Design Student Exhibition at the High in Atlanta through Dec. 7 in the education center, which is on the lower level of the Stent Family Wing at the museum.

Works by Brenau students studying art and design include 2-D and 3-D design, graphic design, painting, drawing, ceramics and fashion design. Interior design works include commercial office designs, hospitality and health care designs and mid-century modern residential renovations.

Students whose work is included in the exhibition are: Adriana Acosta, Nathalia Bolivar, Samantha Britt, Taylor Carden, Tiffany Hale Carter, DeAngela Chastain, Brittany Chunn, Jessica Cramblett, Macy Dwyer, Landon Farrow, Elaina Fourman, Megan Heimgartner, Kierra Herring, Caylene Ingram, Hannah Rose Jackson, Natalyn Kingrey, Deidre Kunze, Akitee Lewis-White, Jordan Ligon, Kayla Madsen, Ana Mandowa, Jessica McClure, Nichele Nibbs, Brittany Powe, Hannah Rogers, Sam Roper, Margaret Shippey, Jennifer Tanner, Kassandra Thomas, Alaina Troha, Olivia Varnson, Yanyu Wang, Karis Williams and Autumn Zhao.

“We are pleased that the High Museum is again able to offer an outstanding venue to our students — freshmen through seniors — to exhibit their works,” said Lynn M. Jones, Brenau’s Department of Interior Design chair.
