A family blending harmonies with acoustic instrumentation will entertain visitors to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, A Smithgall Woodland Legacy on Saturday night in Gainesville.
The Band Kelley is an multi-award winning family group of four siblings, who recently won the 2015 Jeff and Shari Easter Talent Competition. They will sing and play bluegrass, country and gospel at 11 a.m. and noon Sept. 19 in the Ivester Amphitheater in the Gainesville garden at 1911 Sweetbay Drive off Cleveland Highway.
The band leader and oldest is Timothy. He taught his sisters and brother how to fiddle when they were 4« years old. Now he and his siblings are traveling, performing and meeting new friends on the road.
His sister Bethany, 15, plays the fiddle, banjo player and vocalist of the group. She has placed second in the Georgia State Fiddle Championship.
Victoria, 12, is the mandolin player and lead vocalist. She has placed second in the Columbia County Fair Talent Competition.
Daniel, 9, is the rock solid bass player for the group. He plays the U-Bass and the stand up bass.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 3-12.
