New Year's Bash, Buford. On Friday The Dam Bar in Buford is having a New Year's Eve party with the band XVI and a champagne toast at midnight with a free buffet. Rides are available to keep everyone safe. The cover is $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door.

 

Château Élan New Year's Eve Parties, Braselton. Château Élan is welcoming the New Year with two celebrations: A Masquerade New Year's Eve party at the Inn, featuring a six-hour open bar, an elegant four-course dinner, entertainment, party favors, a midnight celebration and more; and a Carnival celebration at the Winery, featuring a five-hour open bar, a three-course dinner, live disc jockey, party favors, a midnight celebration and more. Peach Drop 2011, Atlanta. Beginning with children's activities, Underground Atlanta will buzz with activities for the entire family! As 2011 nears, the main stage will light up with live performances and the 800 pound peach will begin its decent just before the clock strikes midnight. Headliner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson will perform for the 22nd annual Peach Drop New Year's Eve Celebration. Jackson will also perform two songs from his highly anticipated first solo album titled "So Far, So Good," which will make its worldwide debut in February. Jackson will be ringing in the New Year with a host of Jackson family members in attendance for the kick-off of his "World Unity Tour 2011." Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed will also join Jackson on stage to count down the final minutes of 2010 and watch the famed giant peach descend into the night. Free.

 

Chick-Fil-A Bowl, Atlanta. The annual Chick-Fil-A Bowl (formerly known as the Peach Bowl) is played on New Year's Eve at the Georgia Dome. Pre-game events throughout the day include the Chick-Fil-A Bowl Parade (free), which begins a 12:30 p.m. in downtown Atlanta, followed by the Chick-Fil-A Bowl FanFest ($15), the ultimate pre-game giant indoor pep rally and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl MVP Tailgate Party ($55), both held at the Georgia World Congress Center.

 

Party on Peachtree, Atlanta. Spiral Entertainment presents Party on Peachtree, an all-inclusive New Year's Eve party with open bars, multiple DJs and dance floors, a gourmet buffet and more. This year's party will be held at the former Macy's department store, now an elegant ballroom, at 200 Peachtree in Downtown Atlanta. Regular ($100) and VIP ($150) ticket options are offered.

 

The Downtown Countdown, Atlanta. This premier gala features Atlanta's largest midnight balloon drop, a 5 1/2 hour premium open bar, several buffet stations, multiple entertainment areas, party favors and more. Presented by Lindy Promotions and USA Entertainment, this popular party takes place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, conveniently located near many of Atlanta's popular downtown attractions.

 

NYE in the ATL 2011, Atlanta. Billed as Atlanta's number one New Year's Eve celebration for urban professionals, this annual New Year's Eve celebration attracts party-goers from near and far. Held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia this year, this popular event features multiple party rooms, DJ's and live entertainment, comedy shows, midnight balloon drop and champagne toast. ATL's Rockin' NYE at Tavern 99, Buckhead. ATL's Rockin' NYE 2011 is an all-inclusive New Year's Eve party at Tavern 99 in the heart of Buckhead's entertainment district. Tickets include beer, wine, well drinks, an appetizer buffet and a champagne toast at midnight, plus rockin' entertainment, a large dance floor and party favors to ring in the New Year. In addition, there are gaming areas for flip cup, darts, a game room and more. Tavern 99's atmosphere is fun and comfortable, attire is NYE casual and you must be 21 or older to attend. ASO New Year's Eve, Atlanta. Winding up the 2010 Coca-Cola Holiday Concerts series, this annual New Year's Eve concert performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, has become a popular New Year's Eve celebration of music for Atlantans and visitors alike. The 2010 concert at Symphony Hall features an evening of festive Italian standards from Sinatra and Jersey Boys to Puccini and Pavarotti. $30-$68.

 

2011 New Years Bash, Athens. 9 p.m. at The Bad Manor. Mad Margritt will start the night out. Then watch the ball drop on giant screens. At the stroke of midnight, $2011 in cash will be dropping onto the dance floor. $5 for 21 and older, $10 for ages 18-20.
