Softball: Flowery Branch falls to Heritage-Catoosa in Game 2 of state tournament

Flowery Branch grabbed the lead twice late, but ended up losing to Heritage-Catoosa 9-8 in the softball state tournament on Friday in Columbus. With the loss, the Lady Falcons return to play again in the loser's bracket at 7 p.m. Friday night. 

In the top of the seventh inning, MaKaela Davis had a two-run homer for Flowery Branch to grab a 8-7 lead. 

In the fifth inning, Savannah Rutledge had an RBI single, giving the Lady Falcons a 6-5 lead.
