Cherokee Bluff falls in second round of softball playoffs against Appling County

On Wednesday, Cherokee Bluff was eliminated from the Class 3A state softball tournament, dropping both games in a second-round doubleheader to Appling County 10-1 and 8-1. 

With the losses, the Lady Bears finished the season with a school-record 23 wins and first trip to the second round of the playoffs. 

Against Appling County, Lauren Rule had a home run for Cherokee Bluff, while Stephanie Condland and Emma Sundermeyer each had a pair of hits.
