Brenau University fell 4-3 to No. 5 William Carey, 4-3, Saturday in the final game pool play in the NAIA National Championships in Decatur, Ala.

The loss ends the season for the Golden Tigers (41-13).

Senior Missy Heren started on the mound and went four innings, yielding six hits that led to all four of William Carey’s runs.

Brenau’s Nicole Burt drove in two runs with a single in the sixth inning, and Morgan Smith drove in one run in the fifth inning with a hit.
