Screamin' Eagles win Power Soccer championship

The North Georgia Screamin’ Eagles defeated the Chattanooga Spiders 3-1 and the Carroll County Dominators 1-0 Saturday at the Mulberry Creek Community Center to capture the United States Power Soccer Association Division II Southeastern championship.

The Screamin' Eagles, a wheel chair league team, will compete June 17-19 in Fishers, Ind. for the national competition.

The team is currently raising funds for eight athletes and two coaches to make the trip. Raffle tickets may be purchased on the team’s website, www.ngascreamineagles.org for $2 each or three for $5. The drawing will be held June 6 at the Mulberry Creek Community Center.
