Screamin' Eagles win Power Soccer championship

The North Georgia Screamin’ Eagles defeated the Chattanooga Spiders 3-1 and the Carroll County Dominators 1-0 Saturday at the Mulberry Creek Community Center to capture the United States Power Soccer Association Division II Southeastern championship.

The Screamin' Eagles, a wheel chair league team, will compete June 17-19 in Fishers, Ind. for the national competition.

The team is currently raising funds for eight athletes and two coaches to make the trip. Raffle tickets may be purchased on the team’s website, for $2 each or three for $5. The drawing will be held June 6 at the Mulberry Creek Community Center.
