Chestatee's Noah Peters runs the 3,000 meter race at the USATF regionals at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.

Chestatee High junior Noah Peters captured gold at the USATF Junior Olympics Regionals, running a time of 9 minutes, 34 seconds in the 3,000-meter race at Winthrop University Rock Hill, S.C.

With the win, Peters is qualified for the nationals in Sacramento, California. 

The War Eagles’ runner qualified for regionals with second-place times in the 1,500 and 3,000 meter at the state championship meet in McDonough.
