The North Hall girls basketball team took down Habersham Central at home Friday evening, blanketing the visiting Lady Raiders defensively in a 38-27 win. Habersham Central failed to reach double-digit scoring in any of the game’s four quarters.
Lauren Swanson and Grace Hollifield scored 11 points each to lead the Lady Trojans in the victory.
North Hall will be back in action next week for the Lanierland tournament.
NORTH HALL BOYS 44, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 32: Cole Ellis scored 9 points for the Trojans, while Clark Howell added 8 and Brock Cooper and Luke Gunter contributed 7 each.
Next up, North Hall will compete in the Lanierland tournament next week.
DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 59, OCONEE COUNTY 43: Sophie D’Oliveira scored 14 points, Mardie Townley added 13, and Kirklyn Porter and Mariah Benson each contributed 9 in the Lady Tigers’ win.
Up next, Dawson County will participate in the Christmas in Commerce tournament at East Jackson High School next Friday.
LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 84, BANKS COUNTY 67: Carl Cleveland led Banks County with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Leopards undefeated. Sawyer Pace scored 17 points, Pierce Martin added 9, and Dakota Orr had 8 points with 10 rebounds.
Banks County will host East Hall on Friday evening.
CHESTATEE GIRLS 65, RUTHERFORD (FL) 31: Maggie McNair set a new Lady War Eagles record with eight made 3-pointers, scoring 26 points to lead Chestatee to the win in the Panama City Beach Classic in Panama City, Fl. Danielle Bull added five 3s of her own, contributing 17 total points.
The Lady War Eagles will play their next game in the event on Saturday against Leeds (AL).
