University of Connecticut tight end and North Hall High 2006 graduate Derek Rich was named to the Big-East All-Academic Team on Monday.
Rich met qualifications by lettering during the 2007 season and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 in two semesters as a full-time student.
Derek is the son of Benny and Kathleen Rich.
