North Georgia College & State University announced Monday that Randy Dunn has stepped down as the athletics director after 28 years with the university.

After graduating from NGCSU, Dunn served several years as an assistant men’s basketball coach before taking over as the head men’s basketball coach, a post he held for 14 years before becoming the full-time athletics director in 2003.

Lindsay Reeves, the associate director of athletics and senior women’s administrator, will serve as acting athletics director while the university conducts a national search to fill the position on a permanent basis.

Dunn is slated to become athletics director at Young Harris College.
