Johnson High senior Will Crain secured a gold medal in the 500-meter kayak Thursday at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles. Crain finished with a course with a time of 4:02:00, more than 10 seconds faster than his closest competitor, Matthew Hernandez of Texas. Crain had trained for the event at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue.
