North Florida University guard and former Chestatee standout Parker Smith was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Smith averaged 22 points per game in wins over Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast, helping the Ospreys (13-13, 7-6) their first ever home weekend sweep in Atlantic Sun play. He also reached 1,000 points for his career while moving his team from eighth to fourth in the standings.

Three other players were nominated.
