Led by Rebecca Webster’s 11 points, the Gainesville Middle School girls basketball team defeated East Hall 30-21 during the second round of the Hall County Middle School basketball tournament on Monday.
East Hall was led by Kelsey Gilbert and Morgan Jackson, who each scored five points.
Gainesville, the No. 3 seed, will play top-seeded North Hall in the championship game at 5 p.m. Thursday at Chestatee Middle School.
North Hall girls 50, Davis 46
Sara Paschel scored 22 points to lead the North Hall past Davis Middle School on Monday.
Cassidy Elrod scored 19 points and Cara Chilton added 17 points for Davis.
Gainesville boys 44, East Hall 29
Gainesville Middle School advanced to the championship game of the Hall County Middle School basketball tournament with a 44-29 win against East Hall on Monday.
Gainesville was led by Joseph Hanley, who scored 12 points in the win.
J.C. Hampton led East Hall with 14 points.
No. 3 seed Gainesville will take on top-seeded Davis Middle School in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Chestatee Middle School.
Davis boys 45, North Hall 34
Imani Cross scored 17 points in leading the Davis Middle School Falcons to an 11-point victory against North Hall at the Hall County Middle School basketball tournament on Monday.
North Hall was led by Kanler Coker, who scored 14 points.
