Local golf: White, Smith take Tuesday wins

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low-gross, low-net game Tuesday as Mona White won the low gross and Sally Smith won the low net.

Other winners included: Violet Reynolds (low gross), Carolyn Palmer (low net), Nancy Norris (low gross) and Nora Gleason (low net) and Paula Pilgrim (low net). Norris also earned closest to the pin honors.

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two best ball, net aggregate points game Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf course as the group of Harry Barnett, Roy Bartlett, Greg Taira and Dick Freeman tied with the team of Bob Watson, Carlyle Cox, Bob Muldrow and Paul Payne for first place.

Gary Palmer, John Beem, Joe Kolesar and Bob Henderson finished in third. Closest to the pin winners were Roy Bartlett (3) and Weschler (5, 12, 17).
