Keith Bards sank a hole-in-one on the No. 4 hole at Chicopee Woods Golf Course on Aug. 21. Witnesses present were Leroy Harper and Tommy Calhoun. Bardes used a No. 9 iron and a Titleist Pro VI ball.

CHATTAHOOCHEE MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION: The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a three best ball, aggregated net points game this week at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Johnny Little, Bob Watson, Glynn Rogers and Bill Hardman.

Tied for second were the teams of Roy Lyle, Greg Taira, Don Gage and Gene Weschler and Jack Costello, Rick Reed, AJ Kiker and Bud Clegg.

Fourth place was also a tie between the teams of Jerry Ermlich, J.B. Johnston, John T. Smith and Leroy Harper and Don Wells, Rob Boetz, Jim Martin and Bob Henderson.

Closest to the pin winners were Dick Bachman (No. 3), Bill Hardman (No. 5), Don Wells (No. 12) and Ron Hopley (No. 17).

WEDNESDAY DOGFLIGHT: The Wednesday Dogflight golf group played this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

Tied for first place were the teams of Bob Arendt, Wayne Groebli and Keith Fitzgerald, and Greg Lee, Mark Black and Keith Mangum.

Fitzgerald also placed first in the individual competition, Chris Porter finished second, Mike Tilson won third and there was a five-way tie for fourth between Keith Bardis, Tommy Calhoun, Greg Lee, Mark Black and Larry Miller.

CHATTAHOOCHEE LADIES GOLF ASSOCIATION: The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low gross, low net event Tuesday.

Mona White won first place in the low gross.

Peggy Hall and Violet Reynolds tied for low net. Hall also won the closest to the pin contest on No. 3 and Violet Reynolds won on No. 17.

LUNA’S TUESDAY GOLF GROUP: The Luna’s Tuesday golf group played at Chicopee Woods this week.

First place went to the team of Rob Emerson, Jimmy Harritos, Doug Van, and Jerry Ward.

Tied for second place were the teams of Michael Gordy, Cleve Brown, Grady Smith and Ronnie Ledford and the team of Stan Davidson Jr., Joe Campbell, Tommy Lowery and Leggs Clark.

Closest to the pin winners were Davidson Jr. (Mill No. 2), Johnny Crumley (Mill No. 5), Van (School No. 4) and Lowery (School No. 8).

DPG GOLF GROUP: The DPG golf group played matches Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at Chicopee Woods.

Denis Jordan won first place on Monday. Dave Jetter, Horace Smallwood and Steve Knowles tied for second.

Wednesday’s matches consisted of both individual and team competition. James Robertson won first in the individual competition and the first place in team competition were Dwight Miller and Terrence Dale. Bob Kidd and James Robertson took second place in the team competition.

Dale won first place Thursday, Don Schrum won second place and Miller, Charley Kilby and Steve Knowles all tied for third place.
