White County softball ends season at No. 1

In the final Prepcountry.com Softball Coaches Poll of the 2010 season, White County is the top-ranked team in Class AAA after winning the state championship last Saturday. The Lady Warriors finished the season 30-6 overall and champions of Region 8-AAA.

In Class AA, Buford, fresh of its fourth-straight state championship, finished the season ranked No. 1. The Lady Wolves (32-4) also won the Region 6-AA championship.

Union County (32-4-1) lost to Buford in the Class AA state championship game and finishes the season ranked second and champions of Region 8-AA.
