West Hall names Knight new softball coach

West Hall High principal Scott Justus and athletic director Ethan Banks named Kasey Knight the new softball coach for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday.

Knight is currently the head softball coach at Greene County High in Greensboro.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education and master’s degree in teaching from the University of North Georgia, and was a four-year starter for the college’s softball team.

Knight’s team at North Georgia won three Peach Belt Conference Championships and went to three Division-II World Series tournaments. Knight also earned All-Conference honors while on the team and was a three-time PBC honor roll student athlete.
