Ashely Lowery scored 21 points to lead the White County boys basketball team to a 59-51 overtime win against Lumpkin County on Tuesday night in Dahlonega.

The Warriors (8-7, 4-2 Region 7A-AAA) trailed the Indians (7-9, 2-4) 39-26 after the third quarter, but rallied to outscore Lumpkin County 18-5 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 44-44.

White County then outscored the Indians 15-7 in overtime to secure the win.

Luke Crumley added 15 points for the Warriors, who return to action against West Forsyth at 8:30 p.m. in Cleveland.

E.J. Young scored 28 points to lead the Indians, who visit Creekview at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Canton.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 41, WEST FORSYTH 31: The Falcons snapped their three-game losing streak with a win Tuesday night in Flowery Branch.

Ishmael Hollis recorded a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, and Kevin Kanca scored a career-high 11 points to lead the Falcons (7-7, 4-3 Region 7B-AAA), who visit East Hall at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Gainesville.

WEST FORSYTH GIRLS 51, FLOWERY BRANCH 48: The Lady Wolverines’ Kelsey Turchi hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat Flowery Branch on Tuesday night in Flowery Branch.

Jessica Harper scored 14 points and Cara Chilton scored 12 points to lead the Lady Falcons, who play host to East Hall at 7 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW BOYS 64, ATHENS ACADEMY 43: Austin Pearson scored 16 points to lead Lakeview (7-7, 7-1 Region 8-A) on Tuesday night in Athens.

Jackson Wells added 12 points and Daniel Olvera chipped in 11 for the Lions, who visit Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

ATHENS ACADEMY GIRLS 43, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 31: Louisa Jacobs scored 14 points to lead the Lady
Lions (7-8) on Tuesday.

Lakeview Academy visits Prince Avenue Christian at 6 p.m. Friday in Borgart.

BUFORD BOYS 79, LOVETT 70: TJ Shipes scored 21 points to lead Buford in its win Tuesday night.

Zac Lynn scored 14 points and Jake Burnette added 17 points for the Wolves, who visit Avondale at 7 p.m. on Friday.

BUFORD GIRLS 40, LOVETT 28: Andraya Carter scored 15 points, had 12 steals and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lady Wolves (13-1, 6-0 Region 6-AA) on Tuesday.

Buford visits Avondale at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Avondale Estates.

RIVERSIDE 46, BANKS COUNTY 42: Richard Tribble scored 18 points to lead Riverside (9-3, 6-2 Region 8-AA) on Tuesday night in Gainesville.

Dylen Setzekorn added 12 points for the Eagles, who visit Union County at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Blairsville.

Banks County (3-10) plays host to Walnut Grove at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Wrestling

Chestatee defeated North Hall 39-35 on Tuesday night in Gainesville.

The War Eagles’ P.J. White (140 pounds), Taylor Wright (145), Bert Castruita (160), Ed Villeda (189) and Aaron Anderson (215) won matches by pin.

J.W. Gilbert (112) and G. Casas (275) also recorded wins for Chestatee.

North Hall’s John Anderson (103), Raymond Salamar (125) and Wesley Adams (130) won matches by pin.

Tyler Kratzer (119), Nick Quinn (135), Shane Doster (152) and Cody Wilson (171) each recorded wins for the Trojans, who return to action in the Trojan War Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday in Gainesville.
