Megan Rogers may have pitched a no-hitter for North Hall’s softball team, but the Lady Trojans lost 1-0 to White County on an unearned run in Gainesville on Thursday.
Stephanie Satterfield got the win in the pitching circle for White County.
North Hall (5-5, 3-3 7-AAA) visits Lumpkin County at 5:55 Tuesday evening.
CHESTATEE 14, GAINESVILLE 6: Jenny Arthur led Chestatee to a win over Gainesville on Thusday going 2-for-3 with six RBIs and a home run in the third inning.
Ashley Payne went 3-for-3 and Megan Kenimer went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Chestatee.
Stephanie Ward picked up the win in the pitching circle and went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.
The Lady War Eagles visit Flowery Branch at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday.
FLOWERY BRANCH 10, WEST HALL 1: Callie Orr led Flowery Branch in the pitching circle, throwing a complete game with five strikeouts and allowing one run. Orr also led the Lady Falcons at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Megan Albini went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, Chandler Duckworth went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and one run scored,
Roxie Dalton went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored and Allison Thorton went 1-for-3 for Flowery Branch.
The Lady Falcons (5-1 Region 7-AAA) play host to Chestatee at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday.
BANKS COUNTY 6, JEFFERSON 1: Madison Franklin led Banks County to victory going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.
Jordan Rogers went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Madison Porter went 2-for-4 with one run scored for the Lady Leopards.
Paige Pate led Jefferson going 1-for-3 and scoring the team’s only run in the seventh inning.
Jefferson (5-5, 0-1 Region 8-AA) visits Walnut Grove on Tuesday.
VOLLEYBALL
Lakeview Academy swept in Athens
Lakeview Academy lost to Prince Academy (25-18, 25-19) and Athens Academy (25-11, 25-10) on Thursday in Athens.
The Lady Lions were led by Louisa Jacobs, who had 13 kills and three aces on the night. Molly Gay had six assists, Megan Rochester had seven digs and Morgan Black had five digs for Lakeview.
The Lady Lions (7-8, 1-0 8AA) visit Tululah Falls on Tuesday.
West Hall sweeps tri-match
West Hall defeated Gainesville (25-11, 25-19) and Johnson (16-25, 25-11, 25-16) at a tri-match Thursday in Oakwood.
West Hall was led by Julie Walsh, who had 14 aces and 11 assists on the night, and Tonya Bennett with five kills and three blocks.
Gainesville was led by Shaye Roper with four assists, two aces and a dig, and Tiarra Hill with four kills, an ace and a block.
In Johnson’s win (25-11, 25-19) over the Lady Red Elephants, Caitlin Sloan led with four kills and seven aces. Shelley Farley had seven assists and three aces.
In Johnson’s loss against the Lady Spartans, Mary Fiorentino had four kills with six digs, Karis Sloan had five kills and Jenna Stone had seven digs.
Gainesville plays host to West Forsyth and Pickens in a tri-match Tuesday. Johnson visits East Hall to face the Lady Vikings and Chestatee in a region tri-match at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
West Hall plays host to Flowery Branch and Creekview at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
North Hall wins two at home
North Hall defeated Chestatee (25-8, 25-13) and Hart County (25-13, 25-21) on Thursday in Gainesville.
Lauren Gregory led the way for the Lady Trojans with 12 kills, four aces, three assists and two digs.
Kathryn Bell had 18 assists, eight kills and three aces and Evann Rowland had four kills with four digs and three assists.
North Hall visits Lambert on Tuesday.
