Taylor Hawks poured in 18 points for the Gainesville High girls as they topped Dacula 49-40 in the Region 8-AAAAAA semifinals on Friday at Apalachee High. With the win, the Lady Red Elephants will face Winder-Barrow at 6 p.m. tonight for the region championships. Also for Gainesville, Tija Blackwell scored 13 points.
