The top-seeded Lakeview Academy girls tennis team advanced to the Region 8-A finals by defeating Athens Christian on Wednesday at Lakeview Academy.
The Region 8-A tournament championship match between Lakeview Academy and Athens Academy, which defeatd Towns County in the semifinals, begins at 4:30 p.m. today at Lakeview Academy.
Lady Lions coach Steve Lewallen called the semifinal match, “kind of unbelievable.”
Nikki Patel, Jackie Burleson and the No.1 doubles team of Cree Nix and Komal Patel won for Lakeview.
