Top-seeded Lakeview Academy lost to Hebron Christian in the semifinals of the Region 8-A tennis tournament on Wednesday, 3-2, at Lakeview Academy.
“This was a disappointing loss,” coach Steve Lewallen said of the match. “I mean, (all losses) are, but this one more so.”
In the first round, Lakeview defeated Woody Gap, 3-0 and Athens Academy defeated Commerce, 3-0. Lakview Academy will play Athens Christian in the third-place match at 11:30 a.m. today at Lakeview Academy for seeding in the state tournament.
Hebron will take on Athens Academy in the title match.
