Prep scoreboard: State playoff lineup is set
White County earns final spot; Trojans, Falcons to open at home

White County wrapped up the final spot in the state playoffs from Region 7-AAA on Friday, beating Lumpkin County 32-7 in Dahlonega.

Combined with North Hall's 53-6 win over Chestatee, the Warriors (7-3) earned the No. 4 spot in the region and will open the Class AAA state playoffs next weekend on the road against the top-seeded team from Region 5-AAA in Atlanta.

North Hall (10-0) finished unbeaten and No. 1 in the region and will open the playoffs at home next weekend. Flowery Branch beat West Hall 41-7 to earn the No. 2 spot in the region and a first-round home game.

Gainesville (7-3), which has finished its regular season, is assured of the other region playoff spot and will open on the road.

Final scores

Flowery Branch 41, West Hall 7: Falcons quarterback Jaybo Shaw led Flowery Branch (9-1, 4-0 Region 7B-AAA) with four touchdown passes, three of which went to Connor Shaw.

White County 32, Lumpkin County 7: White County quarterback Tyler Norman led the Warriors with three touchdowns.

Johnson 27, Pickens 6: Johnson quarterback Mantevius Rucker led the Knights with touchdown runs of 1 and 3 yards. Trey Dudley added a 15-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Johnson finished its season at 4-6.

North Hall 53, Chestatee 6: North Hall's Dylon Wolf and Fabian Jackson each had two touchdowns in the first half for the Trojans.
