The Buford High softball continued pool play of the Hawk/Bulldog Invitational with a 4-1 win against Northside Columbus on Friday at North Gwinnett High in Suwanee.
The Lady Wolves (2-1) scored all four runs in the fifth inning, including a three-run triple by Whitney Holman.
Chelsie Thomas, Karley Fullem, Brandi Hellemn and Whitney Wolfe each had hits for Buford.
Fullem picked up the win on the mound for Lady Wolves, pitching a complete game and striking out six.
Buford concludes pool play today at 8 a.m. against South Forsyth, 2 p.m. against Central Gwinnett and 4 p.m. against Loganville. All games will be played at South Forsyth.
