North Georgia Christian boys soccer moves on in playoffs

North Georgia Christian defeated Oak Mountain Christian 3-1 in penalty kicks n the first round of the Georgia Independent Christian Athetic Association fall soccer state playoffs on Tuesday.

After regulation and two overtimes failed to yield a score, Grant Boone, Will Wethington and Jordan Hughes all converted on penalty kicks to lead North Georgia Christian School to the win.

Wethington also stopped three penalty shots in goal for the Chargers.

North Georgia Christian will play in the GICAA fall soccer final four at 7 p.m. Friday at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton.
