Lanier Christian Academy topped the Division II-A leaderboard at the GICAA golf state championship at Jekyll Island.

Lanier Christian’s six-member co-ed team includes Shantelle Staufer, Will Davidson, Anna DeMerrseman, Will DeMersseman, Ally Warnke and Cole Wilson.

Stauffer — the lone senior for the Chargers — as well as Wilson and, Ally and Will DeMersseman were selected to the All-State team.

Wilson was undefeated in match play and picked up male low medalist honors at the region and state tournaments.

As a team, the Chargers finished the regular season undefeated in nine matches and ended up ranked third overall among Christian schools in the state of Georgia.

"I am proud of our students and the way they carried themselves, how they treated other players and the tremendous work ethic they each displayed,” Lanier Christian coach Mike Wilson said. “There is just great fellowship among the team which has made coaching this team a joy.”
