HIAWASSEE —Dalton Munday rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lakeview Academy’s football team to a 27-13 victory over Towns County Friday in Hiawassee.

Tom Drury rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown for the Lions (1-1), and Matt Whyte led the way for the Lions’ defense with a pair of sacks.

The victory was the second ever for the Lions, who finished 1-7 last year in their debut season.

Lakeview visits Hebron Christian next Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Dacula. Towns County plays host to Copper Basin (Tenn.) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday.
