Lakeview Academy goes 2-2 in tourney

Lakeview split four matches Saturday at the 8-A/AA Play Day at East Jackson High School.

The Lady Lions lost to North Oconee in the first game of the day 25-19, 17-25, 16-25. Liz Clark had seven kills, Louisa Jacobs had six kills and Emilie Norton had 10 assists to lead the way.

In the second game of the day, Ivey Godfrey and Louisa Jacobs had two kills each to lead Lakeview over Prince Avenue Christian 25-22, 25-20.

Mary London and Heather Styles each had four aces in Lakeview final win of the day, a 25-6, 25-12 rout of East Jackson.

In the final game of the day, the Lady Lions lost to Athens Academy 17-25, 10-25.

Lakeview next plays two matches beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday against Chestatee and Madison County at Chestatee.
