Lakeview Academy’s Christen Copeland scored 10 points in a 50-28 Region 8-A win against Prince Avenue on Wednesday.

Sadie Thrailkil and Ryan Moody both had 10 points apiece for the lady Lions (18-4, 10-0 Region 8-A) as well.
Lakeview Academy plays George Walton 2 p.m. Saturday in Monroe.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 75, PRINCE AVENUE BOYS 58: Drew Cottrell scored 19 points for Lakeview Academy in Wednesdays’s Region 8-A matchup. Tre Gober had 18 points for the Lions (16-5, 11-0 region), while teammate Evan Pitts had 13 points. Griffin Sewell had 11 points in Lakeview Academy’s win, and Josh Randolph finished the night with 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Lions.

BUFORD GIRLS 77, WALNUT GROVE GIRLS 18: Audrey Weiner led Buford to a Region 8-AAAAA win with 20 points in Walnut Grove. Rachel Dobbs added 12 points for the Lady Wolves (18-4, 10-0 region).
Friday’s game against Clark Central in Buford has been moved up to 4:30 p.m. due to Buford’s Homecoming.
