The Johnson boys basketball team defeated Jackson County 70-33 in the Gobbler Classic on Monday in Oakwood.

Matt Hollis led the the Knights (2-0) with 26 points. Ty Odem added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Johnson, which led 26-12 at halftime and outscored the Panthers 30-10 in the third quarter.

Jackson County (0-2) was led by Logan Smith with 12 points.

Johnson faces Avondale at 8:30 Tuesday night in the championship game of the Gobbler Classic at Johnson High School.
