TOWNS COUNTY GIRLS 67, MOUNT ZION-CARROLL 31: The Lady Indians (27-1) won Friday in the opening round of the Class A state tournament Friday in Hiawassee.

Towns County will host the fourth seed from Region 5-A, Pace Academy, on Tuesday at a time to be determined.

GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 60, UNION COUNTY 42: The Lady Panthers (14-14) lost Friday in the opening round of the Class AA state tournament in Atlanta to the second seed from Region 6-AA. Union County’s season is now complete.
